A delegation of the University of Kastamonu (Turkey) visited the State Agrarian University of Moldova from June 10 to 12 2017. The delegation included Rector, Prof. Dr. Seydin AYDIN; Vice-Rector, Prof. Dr. Sezgin AYAN; Dean of the Faculty of Fishery, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Adem Yavuz SONMEZ.
In solemn atmosphere, both parts signed an Agreement and few contracts about the cooperation between SAUM and the University of Kastamonu, which creates favorable prerequisites for achieving high positions in the rating of international universities in the future. In particular, joint scientific and research activities are planned in priority areas of agriculture of our countries, and is planned to open new specialties. According to the signed Mevlana protocol, students and teachers will receive grants from the Turkish government for academic mobility to partner universities.
The importance of the visit of the delegation of the University of Kastamonu is evidenced by the presence at the signing of the protocol, Ion PARI, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry of the Republic of Moldova.
Within the framework of the working visit, the guests got acquainted with the educational and material base of training veterinarian specialists at SAUM, created with the support of the European Union: a modern molecular genetics laboratory, a laboratory for monitoring the quality of dairy and meat products, a mini milk processing and dairy production workshop, model farm, and the farm for the production of commercial fish "Costesti", Ialoveni district.
For reference: the University of Kastamonu carries out its scientific and educational activities in the structure of 14 faculties, 2 institutes, 4 higher schools, 11 vocational schools of higher education and international projects ERASMUS, FARABI and MEVLANA. Cooperates with 75 universities from Turkey and other countries such as the USA, Argentina, Portugal, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc.
