On November 7-11, 2017, at the State Agrarian University of Moldova, was in academic mobility Dr. conf. Bojin Bojinov, head of the Genetics and Plant Breeding Department from Agricultural University of Plovdiv, Bulgaria, who lectured for students of the Faculty of Agronomy and Horticulture. The themes presented were related to the use of drones in crop production and the regulation of the growth and use of genetically modified plants (GMOs) in the European Union.
The professor is known in the scientific society as an expert in plant biotechnology, the creator of a genetically modified cotton variety for 2.4 D herbicide resistance.
During the visit, Mr. Bojinov had meetings with the deans, heads of departments and teaching staff from the faculties of Agronomy, Horticulture, Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science, Agrarian Engineering and Auto Transport, where there were discussed possibilities of collaboration in academic mobility and scientificprojects.
His visit to the State Agrarian University of Moldova represents the beginning of the academic mobility within the Erasmus Plus program with the Agricultural University of Plovdiv.
