In the period 13-16 February, 2018, team members of the project „FOSTERING UNIVERSITY-ENTREPRISE COOPERATION AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP OF STUDENTS VIA SMART CAFFES (SMART)”, co-funded by the European Commission for a 3-year period through the Erasmus + programme KA2 Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education - Elena SIMCIUC, Director of the „Eurostudies” Center and Svetlana PETRAŞCU, Specialist in Academic Mobility and European Integration - participated at the launching of the project, which took place at the CITY College in Thessaloniki, Greece.
During these days, the members of the partnership consisting of 12 higher education institutions and 3 NGOs discussed topics related to successful implementation of the project, its management and financial aspects, effective dissemination of results, project sustainability, and each partner’s tasks in the work packages.
The aim of the project is to encourage students’ entrepreneurial intent and support open innovation approach to collaboration between companies and universities in a creative, supportive and motivating environment – SMART Caffes. The core idea is to provoke (stimulate, motivate) students and young researchers to actively use their intellectual potential to generate innovative ideas. During this process student teams will have the opportunity to be mentored, guided and advised both by company representatives and university staff.
