On 12 of May, 2015, the State Agrarian University of Moldova organized a national conference in the framework of the international project La MANCHE, TEMPUS program. The project aims to promote the modernization of higher education in Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. The consortium includes 29 universities and institutes from 10 countries. The conference, which summed up the 3 years results of the project, was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry; Agency for Tourism; Rectors, Vice-Rectors and the administration of 8 universities of RM; representatives of the business community; non-governmental organizations; European universities from Bulgaria, Greece, Great Britain, Portugal.
With a conference keywords has performed the SAUM’s rector, academician, prof. Gheorghe Cimpoies, who emphasized the importance of management systems in higher education development, particularly on implementation of the new Education Code of the RM; the necessity of circumstances creation to link universities, governments and businesses in order to prepare high-quality professionals who will meet modern labor market requirements.
The main keynote addresses was performed by: Olesya Ciobanu, a consultant of the Department of Higher Education and Science, Ministry of Education; Rodica Resitca, the Head of the Department of Science and Professional Education of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry; Christine Armutlieva project coordinator of LaMANCHE proiect, International University College, Dobrich (Bulgaria), Alchin Nunes, assoc. prof., University of Bragança (Portugal); Victor Ciobanu, the Head of Policies for tourism and marketing development, Agency of Tourism of RM; Maria Hamuraru, expert of the National Agency of the quality of vocational education provision (ANACIP).
